You probably have plenty of fun activities in mind for your upcoming camping trip in your new or used RV from Modern Trailer Sales. But take these great ideas for camping games with you in your back pocket. You never know when they’ll come in handy!
For Little Kids
Kids love scavenger hunts! Browse Pinterest for some nature and camping scavenger hunt printables. They’ll love coloring in their scavenger hunt list and you’ll love that it keeps them occupied!

Get creative on a nature hike with your family. Keep the scavenger hunt list in your head! Give your little ones things to find along the way. The game I play with my younger kids is “Sets of Five.” I have them search for 5 acorns, 5 yellow leaves, 5 spotted rocks, and so on.
For Middle Grade
Make sure to bring a package of glow sticks for this one! Snap the glow sticks to get them glowing, and set up pegs for a ring toss. When it gets dark, take turns throwing the glow rings!

For Teens
Get camp life set up quickly and with some fun competition! Give teens certain set-up tasks – like a campfire starting race using flint fire starter (and safety parameters and guidelines, of course!).
A silly game you might be able to get everyone in on is sleeping bag hop – zip up your teens in sleeping bags, and have them hop a set distance (like an old school sack race).
For The Whole Family
What you want most out of your camping trip is time well spent with your family and the good memories that comes from that. Make sure to have at least one night around the campfire with s’mores and stories – leave the phones inside and just enjoy being with each other.

You’ll also be smart to plan for inclement weather, so pack a couple of board games. My family loves cooperative games, which mean we all work, win, and lose together. It’s a great way to develop teamwork!
